Get a chiva and win the heat

La Leonera DH 2017 open his track this morning and we had the chance to do the last registrations at the top of the race track. The arrival of the riders with the “chiva” and the music all around gave a warm start despite the cloudy sky; we planned to have 2 warmup but once ready for the qualifications heats the rain starts to fall and everybody had a third practice on the wet.

Brazilian armada strikes the time trials

The open class got dominated once again by the Brazilian armada: the 2016 World Champion Carlos Paixao had the second best quali times and a focused Thiago Lessa over took his compatriot with a time of 1:40:630 finishing in first position. Douglas Dalua it's not away from the game and took in his pocket a solid third place followed by Wiliam Rubin.

The Big Mountain Skate crew went to Klipptitztörl two weeks ago in order to collect some footage of the track but they found the track in real terrible condition: the pavement present really bad cracks and potholes, especially in the corner exits. The plan B is already on this way and confirmed.
