Maryhill is a unique race when it comes to equipment. Being a tough course to break away from the pack, competitors are pushed to search for an extra edge in their gear. It is common for racers to utilize a smaller wheelbase and/or narrow trucks to maximize maneuverability and grip. Past results have shown favor towards more track custom setups, but there has always been a variety of setups in the final heats. Lets look at some setups from top contenders.
After 3 days of practice, racers suit up for Qualifying Runs on Friday. These single timed qualifying runs will be used for placement in the race bracket. The top 36 qualifying times will automatically be placed in the final racing bracket while the rest of the open class will race for the remaining spots of the 48 person open bracket.
